Dreams of a Dreamer is the debut album for Yorkshire based acoustic act Paper Lanterns. The 10 track album features beautifully crafted love and life songs with mainly a country pop feel, however there is a definite touch of a folk influence thrown in for good measure. The album has been Brilliantly described as a love child of ‘’The Beautiful South’’ and ‘’The Carpenters’’, Paper Lanterns songs touch even the hardest of hearts. The album has been a year in the making over a few recording sessions and has been a real labour of love.

Paper Lanterns songwriter, Derek Morris is the brother of Gerry Morris, songwriter & guitarist with Billy J Kramer and the New Dakotas. Gerry’s untimely suicide moved Derek to write the haunting song “My Hero, My Brother.” Encouraged by the reaction from this song Derek continued to write songs inspired by his life, and the lives of family and friends. ... more
